22nd Annual Christmas Boat Parade of Lights Helps Healthy Families

The 22nd Annual Christmas Boat Parade of Lights was another success this year resulting in a cash donation of $8,707.82 to The Florida Center’s Healthy Families Program.  In addition to this generous cash donation, infant and baby items were also received at “drop off” locations the night of the parade to help local families in need. A special thanks to Tom DeLong (Director of Operations Marina Jack Restaurant & Marina),  Nicole Double (Parade Chair),  and all of their volunteers who helped put on such a great event. 

The Healthy Families Sarasota Program is a home visiting program for expecting and new parents.  This program provides education, support, child development screenings, modeling and coaching to parents of children at-risk for abuse and neglect.
