Community Based Services

Parenting today is quite challenging. Financial difficulties, divorce, communication difficulties, grief, substance abuse, and many other issues threaten family stability. In the midst of such issues, family enrichment services can provide support to help rebuild the family structure. The Florida Center's Community Based Services provide information on child development, parent-child bonding, behavior modification techniques, and family communication; and encourage parental involvement in the physical, emotional, and social development of children.

Family Focused Infant/Young Child Mental Health Therapy:
The Florida Center specializes in infant and young children's mental health, providing mental health services for children from birth through age eight and their family members.

Family/Marital Counseling:
The Florida Center offers a full assessment of a family's situation and takes a wide variety of approaches to help restore balance, resolve problems and teach skills that enrich family life.

Behavioral Support Services:
These services are designed for children with challenging behavior and provide assistance to parents and teachers in learning effective interventions that promote positive behavior.

Child Psychiatry/Psychological Services:
As the mental health and behavioral needs of young children in our community increase, we are developing a continuum of expertise to assess and intervene with children and families at risk.
The Florida Center for Child and Family Development, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
