A Chapter of the Federation of Families For Children’s Mental Health

The Sarasota Family Support Network’s mission is to empower families through support, advocacy, education and information while working with families to build partnerships with professionals and strengthen their role in the community.

The Network’s goals are to:

• Strengthen and preserve families
• Empower families in advocacy
• Extend social networks
• Influence social policy and system of care work

The Network accomplishes these goals through:

• Providing advocacy, education, and training to families and the community
• Promoting outreach and public awareness
• Facilitating social and educational events for families
• Actively participating on committees responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and the system of care
