Kathryn Shea, CEO of The Florida Center, Awarded Grant for Professional Development

Kathryn Shea, president and CEO of The Florida Center for Early Childhood, a local nonprofit serving children and their families in Sarasota, Charlotte, Manatee and DeSoto/Hardee counties, received a $3,000 grant from the Stewart W. Stearns Leadership Fund of The Community Foundation of Sarasota County for continuing professional education.

Shea will be attending the BoardSource Leadership Forum in Seattle in October, for nonprofit professionals and leaders in best practices for nonprofit governance, thanks to the generous support of The Community Foundation and their investment in nonprofits and leaders in Sarasota County.

For over 35 years, The Florida Center for Early Childhood has been serving our community’s children and families. The Florida Center provides a seamless delivery of services for the whole child and his or her family.
