Kathryn Shea, president and CEO of The Florida Center for Early Childhood, a local nonprofit serving children and their families in Sarasota, Charlotte, Manatee and DeSoto/Hardee counties, received a $3,000 grant from the Stewart W. Stearns Leadership Fund of The Community Foundation of Sarasota County for continuing professional education.
Shea will be attending the BoardSource Leadership Forum in Seattle in October, for nonprofit professionals and leaders in best practices for nonprofit governance, thanks to the generous support of The Community Foundation and their investment in nonprofits and leaders in Sarasota County.
